The toy and sports plane was set up in 1957 at the old sports field (Nordkanal Kampfbahn) and has inspired generations of children 😃 Many years later it had to give way to a new development area and found a new place on the playground at Dorenburgwäldchen. At some point, newer safety regulations prevented children from continuing to play on the great scaffolding 😳 Fortunately, it was not scrapped and instead set up here at a safe height as a reminder of earlier times 😍
