Every day the Molli drives through the main shopping street of Bad Doberan, past the oldest racecourse on the European continent and on to the Heiligendamm train station with a happy jingle. Here the train conductor still controls the points by hand and cranks down the barrier booms when the train approaches. At the terminal station in Kühlungsborn West, the Molli Museum invites you to take a trip into railway history. The entrance is in the adjoining museum café, which is open daily. Entry to the museum is free. However, donations are requested to maintain it

Heiligendamm became world famous in June 2007 when the heads of state and government of the G8 countries met in the Baltic Sea resort. The photo of a beach chair full of heads of state went around the world.
Even in earlier times, powerful and famous people came to Heiligendamm. Among the visitors were the Tsar's family and Wilhelm von Humboldt, and Lord Nelson is also said to have anchored here with his fleet.
