The Neckermolen was probably built in 1631. The polder mill was fitted with a mortar between 1830 and 1840 and has an old Dutch vane cross.
The mill, together with an electric pumping station, maintains the water level in the Wormer, Jisp and Neck water board.

Beautiful thatched historic mill that still serves as a pumping station to maintain the water level in the polders. The mill is clearly visible from both sides of the water. That's good too, because you can't go inside.
