Impressive Gothic basilica from the 14th and 15th centuries. Much of the artwork made specifically for this church is still there as it was never looted.

The Sint-Martinuskerk was built in Brabant High Gothic from 1341 and 1467. When construction started, the Gothic Lady Chapel from 1335, separate from the predecessor of the current church, was already there. Because the church has never been looted, there are still many works of art that were specially made for the church. The most famous are the statue of the Virgin Mary, a Black Madonna from around 1250 and the Mone altarpiece from 1533.
Work on the church continued after 1467; The Baroque sacristy was built in 1664 and the Baroque crowning of the tower from 1772 to 1776.
In 1946 the church was given the title of basilica.
