"...The Alf, or Alfbach, is an approximately 52 km long tributary of the Moselle in Rhineland-Palatinate. It overcomes an elevation difference of 454 m to the Moselle, which corresponds to an average bed gradient of 8.6 ‰.
The Alfbach rises in the Eifel near Hörscheid at an elevation of 549 m above sea level and flows southward, passing Darscheid, Gillenfeld, and Strohn to Bausendorf. From here, the Alf flows east past Kinderbeuern and Bengel, turning north after passing Bengel. Near Alf, the Alfbach, coming from the districts of Höllenthal and Alf-Fabrik, finally flows into the Moselle. ..."
