In 1928 the geologist and chemist Konrad Goldbach discovered that this source near Zell am Harmersbach contained the highest radium
had salary in the whole area. Initially, healing properties were ascribed to the water. Drinking cures were often used to treat rheumatic complaints and gout.
Today it is pointed out that the water from this source is not suitable as drinking water!
