The Bauersee is one of the inland lakes belonging to the Wandlitz Lake District. It is located in the district of Prenden in the greater community of Wandlitz and was known as a bathing lake in northern Berlin at the beginning of the 1960s.

The Bauersee is located near Prenden in Brandenburg. See-Freunde from the surrounding towns of Ruhlsdorf (about 3.7 km from the lake), Schönfeld (3.7 km to the shore) and Lanke (about 3.7 km away) can cool down in the Bauersee on hot days or have the opportunity to relax in the sun. The nearest major town from which to visit the lake is Biesenthal. The lakes Mittelprendensee (approx. 0.4 km), Bauernsee (approx. 0.8 km) and Strehle-See (approx. 2.2 km) are also very close by.
The lake is in the district of Barnim.
