Starkenburger Hütte

The hut at 2,237 meters above sea level can be reached in around three hours from the valley. It is also the first or last hut on the Stubai High Trail - depending on the direction in which the multi-day hike is completed. From the hut, the Gamskogel (two hours) and the Hohe Burgstall (one hour) are worthwhile destinations. The Schlicker via ferrata (D) through the Große Ochsenwand, which is only reserved for experienced and technically skilled via ferrata climbers, is also highly recommended. Very easy to reach from the valley by e-bike. A forest path leads Ivonne Neder up via the Kaserstattalm or from Milders into the Oberbergtal through the tunnel to Forchach and further via Kaserstatt to the Starkenburger
