The White Elster is now limited to a narrow river bed in a trapezoidal profile. An idea from the 1930s where there was more space for building. The floods of the century like 2013 remind us that the river and the flowing rain need more space. In the city, however, construction continues, here it remains with unnatural limitation. On the one side of the bank there is a new flood protection wall to protect the new houses.
