The footbridge allows you to cross the Pegnitz car-free and is the only way to get from Röthenbach / Rückersdorf to Lauf from right to left of the Pegnitz, or vice versa. (Rückersdorf-> Wetzendorf). A little further along the B14 is the bicycle expressway from Lauf to Nuremberg. There is a wild apple tree right at the crossroads.
