In 1980, a concrete bridge was erected over the Ems instead of an earlier pier bridge. The pedestrian bridge connects the western and eastern parts of the city center. A true-to-original copy of the figure of Saint Nepomuk was placed on the bridge to replace a sculpture that was destroyed in World War II.
