The "Teufelskanzel" is located near Gschwend (Rotenhar), Ostalbkreis, Baden-Württemberg
- natural monument
- on the "Frickenhofer Höhe" culture and landscape trail
- Typical layered cave made of layers of sandstone of different hardness
- with a waterfall step, over which water can fall in heavy rainfall
- The pulpit-like impression is created by grotto-like cavities and pillar-like supports
- Myth: because of the shape of the pulpit, the so-called “Anabaptists”, a sect, are said to have met there for meetings and sermons in the 16th century.
