In 1352 Eibach was first mentioned as eybach. For a long time there was a moated castle in Eibach, Eibach Castle, of which only a ruin now testifies. On December 16, 1782, the castle was cremated by fire with almost all buildings and has since fallen into ruin. In addition to the ruins, only the former gatehouse and courtyard are preserved today. The castle ruins are owned by the Baron von Fürstenberg
