A whole network of beautiful hiking trails leads around and to the Monti Sartorius, ashes cone of a flank eruption of Etna 150 years ago. Great view down to the sea and towards Taormina is included. The paths are mostly easy to walk on and are also suitable for a relaxed walk. Some sections are also quite airy around the crater edges, so there is something for every taste. The nearby Refugio Citelli offers refreshments.

Hiking

Do not take this tour on open shoes. The lava stones are sharp and can hurt you. Today I saw people trying to do it on flip flops. they turned around in about 20 meters....
