Stamp location 13 / AhrensklintThe Ahrentsklint (822 m above sea level) is located above Schierke on the Glashüttenweg.From the cliff you have an impressive all-round view of the Brocken, the Wurmberg, the Leistenklippen and Oberschierke.The Ahrentsklint was under the name "Arneklint" (eagle rock) the oldest name of a forest site in the Schierk area. It belonged to the citizens of Wernigerode before 1411.On January 28th, 1411 the Count of Stolberg Wernigerode bought him to expand his forest and hunting area. From then on, the Ahrenstklint was part of the count's forest and became the scene of representative company hunts by the feudal Harzgraves.
