You will find the Ahrensklint (HWN 13) a little off the Glashüttenweg, a great rock formation with a beautiful vantage point

        Stamping point 13 / Ahrensklint

The Ahrentsklint (822 m above sea level) is located above Schierke on the Glashüttenweg.

From the cliff you have an impressive all-round view of the Brocken, the Wurmberg, the Leistenklippen and Oberschierke.

The Ahrentsklint was under the name "Arneklint" (Adlerfels) the oldest name of a forest village in the Schierker area. Before 1411 it belonged to the Wernigerode community.

On January 28, 1411, the Count of Stolberg Wernigerode acquired it in order to expand his forest and hunting area. From then on, the Ahrenstklint was part of the count's forest and became the scene of representative company hunts by the feudal Harz counts.
