Hiking

The Dortmund-Ems-Kanal is a 225 km long federal waterway and runs, as the name suggests, from Dortmund harbor to Papenburg in Lower Saxony. Along the shore path of the canal, the 350 km long cycle path "Dortmund-Ems-Kanal-Route" with interesting detours leads into the surrounding countryside. One also happens over and over again locks, like those near Hörstel.
