Best Hikes to Teufelstättkopf
Tips
  • There are 2 ways to the Teufelsstättkopf: over the Kühalm a wide forest road, then continue on a steeper path, partly sloping on both sides (head for heights) or from Pürschlinghaus a normal hiking trail. In any case after the ascent there take a break with great views of the Ammergau Alps!

  • Great view of the Ammergau Alps. Worth a recommendation for those who have some experience and do not want to miss this highlight of the Ammergau Alps.

  • Great view and if you go down the path of it waiting for a little adventure

  • I was at the summit with my 5 year old daughter. Sturdy shoes are as much a must as a rope. The way is easy, but there are passages that are not for the faint of heart.
A child should be very sensible to implement the instruction. Otherwise prefer not with the little ones.

  • In winter (climbed at the beginning of January, there was still no snow in the valley), it can be easily climbed via "Auf dem Stein".
Snow-covered paths that are somewhat narrow at higher altitudes: poles are mandatory. Shortly before the summit it becomes very slippery and icy, so you should bring shoe spikes or similar with you.
Ascent & descent from / to Pürschling partly heavily iced. The tour will be very difficult here.
In summer the Teufelstättkopf should be one of the simpler peaks.

  • Somewhat overcrowded partly steep ascent, at the end rope insured. But it's worth it: the view is fantastic.

  • Good shoes & sure-footedness are required here! Nice days, weekends, fairly well attended, but if everyone is considerate, it's not a problem. The view is simply beautiful!

  • Absolutely recommended in good weather - critical if the rocks and tree roots are wet. Sure-footedness is essential.

  • Great vantage point, which can be easily reached with easy climbing (a bit of mountain experience and good shoes should be available!)

  • The Teufelsstättkopf is also a worthwhile tour in winter if there is not much snow! Especially when you go up from Lindenhof and enjoy the winter sun during the south-facing ascent.

  • Unfortunately, this impressive backdrop cannot be captured and conveyed in a photo. The personal live recording is nowhere near that.

  • A beautiful summit with a wonderful view! If you leave the backpacks behind at the beginning of the climbing part, climbing is a lot of fun! 😉

  • Really nice peak. It is rocky at the summit cross and the last piece is secured with wire ropes, so the mountain looks even more massive. We were up at the end of the day and were able to enjoy the really great view all alone and in peace.
