The Old St. Nikolai Cemetery in Hanover is a historic cemetery that was created in the Middle Ages at the Nikolaikapelle and has served as a park since its abandonment in the 19th century. The garden monument is located near the city center of Hanover on the Klagesmarkt and the Goseriede and has important grave monuments. One of the most beautiful is the monument to the poet Ludwig Christoph Heinrich Hölty with the bronze statue of a grieving youth.

The old Nikolaifriedhof is a historical cemetery in Hanover city center, which was closed in 1866. Today it is used as a park. It was laid out in the 13th century outside the stone gate. The associated Nikolaikapelle can still be seen today as a ruin. It was the place of worship for a pen for lepers who were also buried in the cemetery.
Today Celler Strasse and the associated roundabout cut up the cemetery.
