Frankfurt is a great architectural highlight. The university is great, albeit with a terrible past

Offenbach is actually a separate city, although it is very close to Frankfurt. Because of this, one could believe that Offenbach would be a district of Frankfurt. The Main alone separates these two cities.

It should be a special end to my 3 week vacation. As an old Schaumburger, I of course know the Felsenkeller in Lauenau. I've always liked the homemade Doppelbock, especially the malt-heavy version in winter.
So I planned a bike ride there. The weather forecast for the upcoming week didn't bode well and so I decided to do the tour on Wednesday yesterday. After more than 50 km I arrived at the Felsenkeller at around 3:30 p.m. I've already found out when the rock cellar opens on the Internet, but probably not smart enough.
I was given unmistakably and yet very arrogantly to understand that the restaurant and the taps do not open until 5pm. I had thrown everything into the pan, namely that I was born in Stadthagen and that I came from Hanover especially to have a beer here. I would even have paid a 'ten' for the beer. You could have left all the 'five' straight and booked the beer into the till afterwards. But no, it shouldn't be.
Then, quite disappointed, I drove towards Wunstorf (Bhf), got on a train and then went home from the main station in Hanover. Then I treated myself to a beer at home as a reward.
It's my own fault, because whoever can read has a clear advantage.
The bike tour was still very nice and I can book 88 km of real bike kilometers for myself.

A very nice Komootler tour through the Deister, where I had to dig out my climbing skills from the past.
Guido, thank you very much for your comments during the tour. Thanks also to Konrad for a helpful tip and the nice togetherness in general.
It was then a longer tour back to Hanover. From the 87 km, almost 20 km train journey must be deducted.

Part 2 of the hike I did last week. But this time the equipment worked and lo and behold, it was a lot more kilometers than last time.
