The lone pot is the source of the lone. Here, more than 200 liters per second gush out of the ground. The water is incredibly clear and shimmers in a fascinating blue.

The Lone rises to about 562 m above sea level. NN a spring pot in Ursprung, part of the municipality of Lonsee. The swelling pot is 6 m deep and has a diameter of 10 m. This karst spring pours an average of 220 liters per second (min. 4 l / s max. 1840 l / s). Their catchment area extends into the area of Nellingen eight kilometers west. The bluish shimmering lonewater that presses to the surface appears to be clean, but like most karst springs in the Swabian Jura is heavily contaminated with nitrate, germs and other agricultural inputs. Some trout used by fishermen frolic in it. The Haldenstein cave, about 100 m away, shows signs of a forerunner of the Lone spring.
The source of the Lone is protected under the protected area number 842-50750044 as an area natural monument.
