In places you can't see much along the path because the boathouses block the view. But you can get to it easily from the Stößensee bridge. The Stößensee is a lake formed by a bulge in the Havel in the Berlin districts of Spandau and Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf. It lies between Pichelswerder and the Grunewald forest and is around 350 meters wide and 1100 meters long. At the Rupenhorn, the wooded high bank rises up to 35 meters to the Grunewald.

The view compensates (partially) for the noise of the Heerstrasse.
