The nature reserve encompassing the Kindernouw-Visbeek valley covers approximately 100 hectares, 60 hectares of which lie north of the E34 and are called "Lilse Zegge" (Lille Sedge); the remaining 40 hectares lie to the south and form "Het Kindernouw."
