Beautiful lookout rock above the Kinzig valley. A short steep ascent is necessary to be able to enjoy the view 🦊

Very nice viewpoint. In my opinion, more beautiful than from Rappenfelsen.

The more beautiful of the two castle mountains. Steep, the stone stairs lead up. A pretty rock plateau, which I have already reserved for a night under the stars, is cordoned off by railings. Remains of the former castle within the railing. A cistern can still be seen. You can enjoy the sun here. On a warm stone with an excellent view of the Black Forest peaks

The lower castle rock does not offer quite as great a view as the upper one. But the short approach is nicer and more demanding.

You should be sure-footed. It goes up a rock staircase, where you will be rewarded with a wonderful panoramic view.
