The wealth of plants and animals in Het Goor is unique. This is partly because the bubbling water in this reserve is calcareous. Lime, in combination with rather acidic sandy soil, provides special living conditions, where only adapted, often rare plants and animals can survive. The moss flora in this area is very special!
