At the foot of the Neukasteler Berg, just west of the village is the Kaltenbrunn spring. Here there should have been a source shrine already in pre-Christian times. [4] In the Middle Ages, there was a Marian pilgrimage, to the care and organization of 1662 a chaplain was hired. In 1973, the excavation of the foundations of the old pilgrimage church began. In the 1980s, the source gained national recognition and due to the onslaught of visitors followed by a closure. Meanwhile, the source is accessible again.
