Lifts at both ends if needed, there’s a slight incline in the tunnel, lit and wide pathway. Spiral steps, more steps at north end

Not as fun as the ferry – but a lot quicker. No cycling allowed, although as with Greenwich many seem to ignore the signs. Greenwich and Woolwich are the only two pedestrian-only foot tunnels under the Thames.

Hiking
The twin towers on the north and south sides of the Thamse welcome pedestrians. The options are a passenger lift or a staircase that winds around it. The tunnel entrances are right next to the car ferry docks.
