Ascona has developed from a once inconspicuous fishing village into a small town with 5,000 inhabitants. The old car-free town center with the Piazza Guiseppe Motta and the alleys and courtyards behind it has largely been preserved. Ascona is a small architectural jewel with a great personality. A city where you can easily reach all important sights on foot.
