This trail takes you to the mountain lake of Efra. The starting point is Frasco (885 m) in the Verzasca Valley, which you can easily reach by both the PostBus and your own car. The mountain lake is at about 1,836 m and is about 962 meters above the starting point. The path is not difficult, but good mountain boots are recommended. If you need refreshment after the run, you will find a rustic mountain lodge not far from here. To reach the hut at 2,038 m, you will head northeast through meadows and stone fields to the Corte di Cima, where the Società Escursionistica Verzaschese hut awaits you.By the way, you can find the video for the trail here:

The Cimetta Trail stretches over 13 km and takes you to almost 1,869 m above sea level. From the top you have a fabulous panoramic view of the Magaino Plain, which offers mountains and numerous peaks. On a comfortable, evenly ascending path, you continue from Cimetta to the Cima della Trosa, where, with a clear view, you will reach the Swiss Alps. The last stretch in front of the village above Lake Vogorno is mostly in the forest. Mergoscia owes its fame not least to the beautiful church dedicated to Saint Gottardo and Carpoforo.By the way, you can find the video for the trail here:

In San Carlo in the Val Bavona, in the midst of an alpine area characterized by rocks, cliffs and wild nature, the suspension railway departs for Robièi, the starting point of this circular route. The monorail is certainly the most comfortable way to reach Robièi. On this tour you will explore the beautiful area around Robièi on foot. The Basodino Glacier is the most impressive and important glacier of Ticino: a shimmering white dome that can be seen from afar with its 3,273 meters. The magnificent landscape of granite and gneiss has something majestic and offers you as a runner also a unique training area. Keep your eyes peeled, because if you look carefully, you can see numerous wild animals, such as marmots, ibex and chamois growing on the ridges.By the way, you can find the video for the trail here:

You can start the Valle Verzasca Trail either from Mergoscia or from the Verzasca dam. In the first case, you will reach Corippo, on a fantastic trail about a hundred meters above the reservoir. In the second variant, which begins at the dam, you come on a long route through the forest through the various fractions of Vogorno. In both variants, the trail runs along to the village of Lavertezzo, which deserves a break due to its double-arched bridge and the beautiful ponds with their green water.Continue to Brione, along a route where a few years ago the Sentiero per l'arte (The Path for the Arts) was realized. In untouched nature you will find sculptures by contemporary artists. You do not have to be an art connoisseur to be amazed. Between old buildings and chapels, the path leads you to the last village: Sonogno. Here you will find the House of Wool and the Ethnographic Museum, where the history of the valley and those of the chimney sweeps are preserved. From Sonogno you return by post bus. Culture and action in one.By the way, you can find the video for the trail here:

The Monte Gambarogno Trail radiates a unique atmosphere. In addition to peace and contentment, you will also find tight climbs and spectacular views. Start is north of the post bus stop on the Alpe di Neggia, where the mule track leads you to the summit of Monte Gambarogno. It's best to get up very early. The magnificent view of Lake Maggiore and the entire Alpine chain is unique, especially in the morning hours. The path then leads in wide sweeping curves along the western slope down to the Alpe di Cedullo, where you can taste the regional Alpine cheese. Well strengthened then leads you the descent to the village Indemini on a comfortable path along the Sassi Gialli slope: As soon as the dense birch forest clears you can see already the first stone roofs of the village. Have fun!By the way, you can find the video for the trail here:

An adventurous circuit in the area of Cardada and Val Resa with start and finish in Locarno, giving an unforgettable view over Lake Maggiore and the surrounding region. The tour starts at the railway station SBB in Locarno-Muralto and leads in the first part with a pleasant slope on paved road to the Monte Brè. It follows a slightly steeper track with a spectacular view of the Centovalli. Approximately 3 km after the village of Brè begins the first part of the single trail, initially slightly rising, then flat and sliding up to a last uphill slope to the Alpe Cardada. The single trail leads quickly and technically demanding hairpin bends to Val Resa. Coming from the dense forest, the road then leads over a beautiful route, with panoramic views of Lake Maggiore and the city, back to the starting point. The route is technically moderately exhausting. It has both passages of varying degrees of difficulty, as well as easier and more gliding sections.Alternatively, you can take the cable car from Locarno to Orselina and then in 5 minutes from Orselina (395m) to Cardada (1,340m). This variant is recommended for those who want to avoid the first ascending part of the tour and only want to tackle the route to Val Resa.
