On September 14, 1903, the construction of the St. Maria village chapel began; the inauguration took place on July 3, 1904 by Father Meinrad Plank and pastor Jakob Meier. On September 4, 1904, the temporary altar was replaced by an altar in the neo-Gothic style. The altar was made by master carpenter Franz Ringer from Vilseck. In 1928 the chapel was expanded into a church for the first time. Among other things, the church got a tower. In 1958 and 1959 the church was extended by another transept. The altar from 1904 was replaced by a new one. The church received its current form. In 1986 the church was renovated inside and out. It is one of three churches in Bavaria that do not belong to the church but to the community. The village chapel is listed in the list of monuments under the number D-3-71-121-23.
