At this point, a hiking trail between Bad Elster and the Bohemian, now Czech, place AS (12km) is described, which on the occasion of the 200th birthday of Robert Schumann in 2010 as part of the EU project: Youth, Love, and Music" in "Love Path " was renamed. The reason for this was that Robert Schumann visited his fiancé at the time, Ernestine von Frecke, whom he had met in Leipzig, in her home town of As at the end of October and beginning of December 1834, coming from Adorf, the old Poststrasse, via Bad Elster to As. His later wife, Clara Wiek, called these trips "love trips". The last trip took place in 1035. The love story between Robert Schumann and Ernstine von Fricken did not have a happy ending. When exactly it ended is not known .In Robert Schumann's notes then only briefly says: Redundancy and separation from Ernestine von Fricka in the summer and autumn of 1835- oh!.Robert Schumann dedicated his famous to the beauties from As ten "Carneval Piano Cycle". With this famous composition he erected a sonorous monument to Ernestine.
