The Gothic church was partially destroyed in World War II. The reconstruction took place from 1947-1949; The reconstruction of the tower was completed in 1959.
When the choir was redesigned in 1983 by the Kevelaer artist Karl Neuy, frescoes from the 15th century were uncovered on the wall and ceiling.

The church space offers space for around 200 worshipers.

Cycling

The construction of the St. Petrus parish church in Wetten was completed in 1470. Some tufa stones on the right wall indicate an older church from the Romanesque period.
A restoration was carried out in 1610-1620. The pulpit and a figure of a saint are still preserved from the early furnishings.
