The Rotenfels between Bad Münster am Stein-Ebernburg and Norheim
Show all (2) pictures »
The huge porphyry rock massif forms the highest steep face (202m) between the Alps and Scandinavia at an altitude of 327m above sea level. NN at a width of about 2 km.
You can enjoy a wonderful view of Bad Münster am Stein-Ebernburg and the Nahe region. The rock is a nature reserve and is home to a variety of rare plants and animals that can only be found here in the region. The Rotenfels is also simply ideal for hikers. One of the many hiking trails leads directly along the entire edge of the mountain range. There is also a refreshment stop on the mountain that invites you to take a break.
