Tips
Scenic, straight S1 trail along the black water, but only conditionally recommended for cycling. In contrast to the other side of the river, it was not developed, so it was rather rocky in places, narrow and overgrown on both sides. After rainy days, sections are also extremely muddy (up to the point of being impassable) and flooded with certainty when the water level is high. In addition (as of summer 2020), a large, fallen tree crosses the path. With a mountain bike, by pushing or carrying in places and in good weather you can get from Lauter to Aue or vice versa.
