Although the palace was neither historically nor art historically of great importance, it is still worth seeing and a thoroughly worthwhile destination with great views of the central part of the island.
The Achilleion is a much visited attraction. In the immediate vicinity there are several restaurants. Parking is available, but quickly full. The passing road is quite wide and in very good condition, so you can easily park at the roadside.
Admission: 7 €
Opening hours: May - Oct. daily from 8:30 am to 7:00 pm, off - season from 8:45 am to 3:30 pm.

Impressive holiday home of the Austrian Empress, which should be something above the financial resources of most Corfu travelers.
Very busy and one of the main attractions in Corfu.
Audio guides included in the price are available in all possible languages upon presentation of your ID card in the back left corner of the foyer.
From the garden great views of Kerkyra, the Old Fortress, the Pantokrátoras and the airport.
A few benches with outdoor tables in front of and behind the building. Outdoor toilets.

Hiking
The Achilleion was built on the property of the famous Corfiot Petros Brailas-Armenis (a friend of Sisi's) after his death. It was named after Achilles, whom Sisi admired for his strength.
