The three-shepherd stone is on the path towards Nemmersdorf, which is also called the ladder to heaven. It is an old boundary stone with the inscription "Ein Gott" and the year 1605 on the front. On the sides it is labeled with "Brandenburg" and "Kindsberg Weidenberg". With this he marked the real estate limit of the lords of Künsberg-Weidenberg and the lords of Laineck zu Nemmersdorf on one side and the margraves of Brandenburg-Bayreuth on the other. The boundary stone was therefore previously called "Dreiherrenstein". According to a legend, three shepherds killed each other there in an argument, which led to the name being changed to Dreihirtenstein. Allegedly until 1970 instead of "Ein Gott" there was "Laineck" and the year 1615 was said to have been there.

The shepherd's stone lies along the ladder to heaven. Here in the forest old roads and paths have passed. I imagine the ladder to heaven got its name from its long, long straight climb.

According to legend, three shepherds have killed each other here.
