Jägersteig Trail (Warmensteinach)

Interested hikers can use the Jägersteig, an approx. 4.1 km long hiking trail, which has retained its climbing character over long stretches and only leads in sections over paved forest roads. It also offers the most beautiful views of Warmensteinach and the nearby Ochsenkopf.The Jägersteig begins about 100 m south of the inrun tower of the Warmensteinach ski jump. For the next 4.1 km, the blue dot on a white background accompanies the hiker mainly in a southerly direction to the forest road known as the “Hühnleinsweg”.

This rooty, almost natural path, partly covered with wooden planks, is certainly one of the absolute highlights in the Fichtelgebirge hiking region. A must!

Jägersteig above Warmensteinach one of the most beautiful mountain trails in the Fichtelgebirge. With a total length of 4.7 km, it winds its way from the Gebrüder-Wehrmann-Schanze to the outskirts of Warmensteinach. The path always offers great views of the Steinachtal.
