Start this trail from East Street in Havant to miss the traffic crossing the M27. The trail keeps you away from all the busy roads and traffic. It's really well kept and easy to ride with lots of scenic spots especially when the tide is in.
When you get to the end of the trail at the old Hayling Station, either cycle straight ahead to the sea front or turn right to cycle along to the ferry port. From there, (furthest east point opposite Langstone harbour) you can cycle on well marked trails all the way to the east point of the island.

front suspension helps! - really easy, well kept gravel trail that links up with other cycle paths to get you down to Hayling Island beach. Lots of places to stop off and chill, great at high tide, keeps you away from all the traffic on the island :)

A nice wide trail, more suited to off road bikes/tyres. Can get wet and muddy in the Winter, but still rideable. Lots of information boards and away from traffic so safe for families.
