Cabin Hill Cemetery was established by 11th Division in June 1917 and remained in use until March 1918.
This cemetery contains the burials of 42 British and 25 Australian soldiers.

Wijtschate was taken by the Germans in November 1914. It was recaptured by the Commonwealth forces during the Battle of Messines on June 7, 1917. During the German Spring Offensive, it came back into German hands on April 16.
The village was last recaptured on September 28, 1918.
