Wasserfall Levada Nova

Ingenious levada walk with impressive waterfall and great views of the valley and towards the sea! Definitely a highlight on Madeira!

The tour is nice, but definitely nothing for people who are not afraid of heights. On a long distance delimitations to the abyss are missing. I would not plan this tour with children.

Breathtaking! Here it is worthwhile to take a short break and just to watch.

Super nice Levada hike. Sometimes a bit slippery. As with all Levada hikes, slip-resistant shoes are required and watch out for unsecured passages. Keeping this in mind, the way is easy to go and you will be amazed.

The exposed spots are at the beginning of the tour. Tip: run the section in the opposite direction. 1.5 hours there and back, perfect for non-vertigo-free people. Very nice views, a lot of green.
There is no tunnel on this path.

And if you get a little wet, it serves refreshment.

You have to go behind it. In warm weather a nice little refreshment (we only met with some water, no problem)

One of the most beautiful levada waterfalls in Madeira; The way to the waterfall is not particularly strenuous, but surefootedness and a head for heights should be provided.

We walk on the levada wall, partly on concrete slabs laid over the levada, through the rock face under the waterfall. A shower is not uncommon at this point.A 200m long tunnel connects directly to this high point. A flashlight is required, although the tunnel is dead straight and the exit is always visible.
