A pretty place where you can take a nice break. The beer you have earned in any case!

Glurns (Italian: Glorenza, Rhaeto-Romanic) is with 896 inhabitants (as of 31 December 2015) one of the smallest towns in the Alps. It is located in the Vinschgau in South Tyrol (Italy). A special feature of the city are its completely preserved city walls. These separate the city into a so-called inner and outer city. Glurns is one of the eight cities in South Tyrol and the only city in Vinschgau.

Glurns is one of the smallest towns in the Alps with less than 1000 inhabitants. The special feature of this city is the completely preserved city wall, which includes the picturesque old town.
The city was built on a traffic junction of the Via Claudia and was first mentioned in documents in 1163.

Due to the above-average preserved medieval buildings, which is comparable to the cityscape of Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Glurns is also known as the Rothenburg South Tyrol.
