Depending on the season, an idyllic gem or a boggy pool. But in every season in a very beautiful location.

I can only agree with Si & Yu. We experienced it boggy. But if you smell the smell, you still experience the valley as a great hiking experience!

Absolutely idyllic location. I was fortunate enough to walk there on a dry day with a filled lake and just loved it

The lakes are great little biotopes! Unfortunately, they are at present visibly spoiled by some blue tons and canisters in the water, at least visually.

Generally a very nice route. Although about 1.2 km directly in the Rotthäuser Bachtal are very very muddy and there are quite a few tree trunks in the way. The paths around it are the result of the storm since Ela (2014) because ... SCHADE, that makes the track there really cumbersome ...

As can be seen from the press, the hiking trail in the Rotthäuser Bachtal will not be paved in the future either. As a result, there are no crowds of strollers on weekends.
The fallen trees also offer protection against racing mountain bikers ;-)

In the morning but also in the early evening you are "down" really alone. It is worth the effort to pack camera and tripod in the backpack. There are really great impressions capture that even without "aftercare" are very meaningful. There is nothing to add to the topic "morass". I no longer judge whether muddy or not but only how deep you sink. Nevertheless highly recommended.

A very natural, even unpaved and 'once marshy path, along the man-made small lakes. But for every adventurous child and every young friend of nature, a highlight, far from overcrowded asphalt or gravel Sunday walk paths.

The Rotthäuser Bachtal offers a very diversified biotope variety in a relatively small area: ponds, wet meadows, pastures, alluvial landscapes and natural forest areas invite the observation of animals (eg egrets, ducks, birds) and exploration of plants.

The Rotthäuser Bachtal has been under nature protection since 1984.
What is special about the valley is its wetlands, the stream that gave it its name, its springs, the numerous fish ponds and extensive reed beds. In addition there are valuable alder, ash and softwood floodplain forests as well as grove-beech forests. This shows a diverse and varied landscape in a small space.

Very idyllic. However, the hike is not suitable for days on which it has rained or even snowed before.
