In the middle of Freudental there is a nice castle, which is also called Gravenitz Castle. This was bought by Duke Eberhard Ludwig von Württemberg, Wilhelmine von Grävenitz in 1727, along with Freudental. Previously there was a previous building from the 16th century at this location. The Grävenitz had the existing building renovated in 1728 by the builder Paolo Retti.
