The Frauenberg is located on the Huguenot & Waldenser Path and is 379.4 m above sea level. NHN is the second highest independent survey of the Lahn Mountains between Frauenberg and Cappel. Since the Frauenberg castle ruins stand on it with a 360-degree panoramic view, it is a popular excursion destination in the region of the city of Marburg.

The European partnership project “In the footsteps of the Huguenots and Waldensians” presents the cultural heritage of religious refugees in the context of exile, migration and integration. The hiking route follows the historic escape route from the Dauphiné (France) and from Piedmont (Italy) to Germany
and also crosses the Marburger Land.
