Heute haben wir Radwege ins Hinterland ausgekundschaftet. Start wieder in Wittelsberg. Über die alte Bahntrasse von Ebsdorf nach Bortshausen. Eine schöner und gut ausgebauter Radweg, angenehm zu fahren - bei sehr sommerlichen Temperaturen. Weiter ging es bis nach Argenstein. Von dort auf Teilen der Lahnradweges bis Roth. In Roth auf die Landstraße nach Niederwalgern. Ab Niederwalgern ging es teilweise auf nur grob befestigten Wegen (sehr holprig) bis zur Landstraße die über Stedebach nach Damm führt. Von Damm bis Reimershausen ist der Radweg gut zu fahren. Allerdings ab Reimershausen bis zu Schmelzmühle ein reines Geholper. Anstrengend für Mensch und Material, dafür landschaftlich sehr attraktiv. Ab Salzböden ist die Strecke wieder super zu fahren. In Odenhausen eine kurze Rast am Kanustützpunkt. Dort gibt es einen festen Stützpunkt für Kanuwanderer und eine kleine Gastronomie. Das kurze Stück ab Odenhausen bis zum Radweg nach Sichertshausen auf der der Kreisstraße 26 ist sehr stark frequentiert durch Autos. Dann ging es aber gemütlich, auf guten Wegen und wieder landschaftlich sehr schön mit Panoramaausblicken zurück nach Wittelsberg.

Eine Fahrradweg Erkundungstour von zu Hause nach zu Hause durch den heimischen Wald. Fazit: Zum Wandern wesentlich besser geeignet. Zwar durchgehend feste Waldwegen, aber teils grob geschottert. Und das mach nicht wirklich Freude.
