The tower stands on the Mercury near Baden-Baden and offers a beautiful view of the city.

Brilliant view, especially in good weather.
The meadow is the starting point for paragliders. Accordingly, there is always something to see.

Mercury is easily recognizable from afar due to its steeply rising flanks. Legends about a volcano have always existed. It is particularly striking and interesting with its towering Mercury tower. From here you have a very wide view of the Rhine valley and the Black Forest. The mountain railway that leads up here and the adjacent restaurant offer the best conditions for connoisseurs without a passion for hiking. For everyone else, an extensive network of hiking trails spans Mercury, so that it can be easily reached from all sides. But be careful: the railway is currently closed due to renovation work, so it can only be reached by bike or pedestrian.

The tower is even equipped with an elevator and has two levels. the lower level is protected by windows. You can continue up a narrow staircase. This is also worthwhile, you just see more.

There are beautiful trails around the mountain and its tower. Unfortunately, the economy has the most unfriendly and slowest service we've ever seen.

The Merkur is the local mountain Baden-Baden and can also be reached with the traditional Merkurbergbahn.

On weekends there is always bustle here in good weather. Hikers, bikers, paragliders and the guests, who only come up with the rack railway ...

You can also stay here longer, e.g.
    - Enjoy the view
    - climb the tower (with elevator if necessary)
    - to bathe in the sun
    - Visit the excursion restaurant
    - To eat vespers
    - To watch paragliders

The restaurant on the tower is currently being renovated and it looks partly like a construction site. But the tower can be climbed to be rewarded with a great panoramic view.
