Maborghetto Valbruna is a small community between the Carnic and Julian Alps and therefore an excellent starting point for mountaineers. In the past the place belonged to Austria but since 1919 it lies on Italian territory.
Despite its small size, there are some sights:
- The Palazzo Veneziano, which is used as an ethnographic museum.
- The Gothic parish church of Santa Maria from the 16th and 17th centuries.
- The Fallen Memorial and Remnants Remnants of the Fort Hensel Dam.

The many tunnels are awesome. It is indeed fresh when driving through, but it goes without detours and gradients (up as down) elegantly on. Some tunnels even have lights that turn on and off automatically. I'm excited.
The difference is only really noticeable when at one point an itinerary is necessary because the tunnel and bridge still need to be repaired.
