Schleierfälle Starzlachklamm

A nice short path leads us to the entrance of the Scharzlachklamm. This is where the ascent through the gorge begins, on narrow and partly low paths, you walk through this wonderful natural spectacle.

Starting from the Winkel 18 parking lot, 87527 Sonthofen, it is relatively quick to get to the Starzachklamm. There are passages that remind you a bit of the Schwedenlöcher in Saxon Switzerland ;-) Pretty wild gorge and not as touristy as the Breitachklamm.
There is canyoning here too.

Unfortunately I can only agree with Thorsten's words. For inexperienced and elderly people, getting out of the gorge is an imposition. This must be pointed out in the entrance. The return bus does not run on Mondays and Tuesdays. Therefore you have to walk for a while, hardly manageable with small children and certainly not the descent through the forest.

Especially interesting are the canyoning groups, who on good days look for their way one by one on foot through the Starzlach gorge

This is where the actual route (paying) starts into the gorge.

Badly signposted and a catastrophic exit from the gorge! At the end you have to go over partially paved, but for inexperienced visitors to the gorge, really very, very strenuous way out again! And in the end there is no sign back, you stand there completely helpless! Reference is only made to a paid rail service! We will never come back and therefore cannot recommend the otherwise very beautiful gorge!

Due to Corona, the gorge can only be accessed from the bottom up.

The entrance with the waterfall in front is nice to look at.

Very nice for hiking, you should definitely go here. Well suited for children, make sure they wear sturdy shoes

Due to the corona pandemic, in June it was only possible to walk from the "Winkel" parking lot from the bottom to the top through the gorge, i.e. only in one direction. One should pay attention to this and plan accordingly time for the way back.
If you are into canyoning, this is the right place for you.

Sometimes a bit slippery so hiking boots are really recommended. A tour through the canyon, enjoying the cool water with neoprene, is an absolute highlight as a guided tour.

Nice start to a hike up the guard.

In rainy weather, you can already feel the power of the water (besides, you have your peace in the gorge and the atmosphere is wonderful)

Here is the ticket booth for the Klammweg. The fee for the gorge is charged regardless of the direction of travel.

Open from May 1st to October 31st (as of May 2020)

Since the maintenance and care of the paths in the gorge are complex, entry is justified.

Very nice gorge, up to Alpe Topfen, back at the Alpenblick via Nothaldeweg, nice round or further up to Grünten.
Attention, one-way street / path. In the current Corona times, only going from an angle upwards in one direction.

The Startlachklamm is closed in winter.
