A beautiful, wildly romantic view, very close and yet so far .... it is a very special atmosphere so close to the mouth of the Sieg in the Rhine - plenty of space for flooding but also in summer for a wide view. The old trees are just crazy ....

The Siegauen are a popular local recreation area for residents of Bonn and the residents of neighboring towns. The restaurant on the Sieg ferry next to / under the main road between Niederkassel and Beuel is a destination for cyclists and hikers. At this point there is also - as the name of the restaurant suggests - a small tow ferry with which you can cross over. The victory here is often so flat that the water only reaches to your knees and you can wade through it on foot.
