Best Hikes to Gallengrotte

Tips

  • Very nice, deep grotto, the path leads through rugged rocky landscape and only a stone's throw from Lake Ebnisee.

  • A typical blade that can often be found in the Swabian Franconian Forest. But like every blade, unique. A detour is definitely worth it. The overhanging rock just before the actual grotto is very impressive.

  • The so-called "gall grottoes" are located near Kaiserbach in the Rems-Murr district. The name comes from the glass production in earlier years in this area:
    - the bottle-green slag that was produced during glass production was called gall and was "disposed of" there.
    - With a little luck, you can still find remains today
