- the Biotpo is located near "Althütte", Rems-Murr-Kreis, Baden-Württemberg
- a narrow path goes around the biotope (partly with "steps")
- at one end of the biotope there is a nice rest area with benches and tables
- historical background: ground sandstone was mined here until the 1970s, this soft stone was used as a scouring agent for the wooden floorboards of the houses, the pond was created by the excavations up to the bottom of hard siliceous sandstone, which is only washed by precipitation were fed
